REUNION - WATSON INDEPENDENCE

REUNION, FL

The Independence course was the first of the Reunion Resort courses to open. It was also Tom Watson's first Signature design in Florida. The Independence offers a windswept, native appearance framed by 15 varieties of native grasses, azaleas, hibiscus, camellias, and other foliage. Says Watson; "Golf attracts more players than any other outdoor sport. No doubt there are almost as many reasons for this as there are players, but one reason is certainly shared by all. It's the simple pleasure of being on a beautiful course." While The Independence is certainly beautiful, it's equally challenging. Watson's thoughtful use of bunkers -- at least one on each hole -- will make you think your way around. Do not miss a chance to play The Independence course at Reunion Resort.

Golfer Comments

11/17/2009 - I would play it again, but my wife would not. 170 bunkers is too tough! Posted by Rick (Elmira, ON)

08/03/2009 - Only course we played twice. We really enjoyed it. Posted by Timothy (Santa Monica, CA)

01/20/2009 - way too expensive Posted by Kurt (Stamford, CT)

12/01/2008 - Overpriced. While it's a nice course it has not go a great variety of holes. Posted by Colum (Rathfarnham, )

11/25/2008 - too much sand!! :) Posted by Zachary (Hempstead, NY)

10/28/2008 - Overall a great facility. Two minor problems. We had to play the front nines of both courses as our morning round and the back nines as our afternoon round which didn't give you the best picture of each layout as a stand alone course. Being a cashless resort, we were unable to get an itemized bill for cart and clubhouse until Monday AM. and then they only gave us total for clubhouse and cart. I still don't have an itemized bill for the purchases. A bit disappointing for such a top notch establishment. Posted by Michael (Plymouth, MA)

10/27/2008 - Excellent!!!! Amazing!!!!! WOW! Posted by Stewart (Calgary, AB)

04/21/2008 - tough course for average golfer Posted by Frank (New Port Richey, FL)

03/11/2008 - outstanding in all phases of the game Posted by Neal (Duxbury, MA)

03/03/2008 - great facility and course Posted by Alexander (Fairlawn, OH)
